Manohar International Airport, also known as Mopa International Airport or New Goa International Airport, is located in Mopa, Pernem Taluka, about 30km from the city of Panjim.
Covering an expansive area of 2133 acres, Manohar International Airport is a significant infrastructure development in the region. The first phase of the airport's construction was completed at an estimated cost of Rs. 2,870 crores. Additionally, the Goa government has invested around Rs 240 crore in expenses related to land acquisition, road projects, consultant fees, and other associated costs.
The airport has an Integrated Passenger Terminal Building, Air Traffic Control (ATC) building, meteorological facilities, a cargo terminal, taxiways, rapid exit routes ,ancillary facilities for processing and storage, aircraft rescue and firefighting services and infrastructure for aviation fuel. This phase involved the construction of a single three-and-a-half KM runway, along with various facilities such as an integrated passenger terminal building, flight catering, parking facilities, and emergency services.
Situated at an elevation of 552 feet (168 metres) above mean sea level, the airport is strategically positioned to serve the region efficiently. With its modern infrastructure and facilities, Mopa International Airport aims to provide a seamless travel experience to passengers.

Previously, flights to and from Goa operated from Dabolim Airport had limited capacity and scope for expansion. The New airport can accommodate 168 flights in a day. Furthermore, unlike Dabolim Airport, Mopa Airport will also feature a cargo transportation facility.
