At the heart of our audit methodology lies the commitment to deliver tangible results and drive positive change particularly to fosters sustainable practices within organizations. Our work on a section of The Delhi-Mumbai Expressway Project serves as a markable example.

The Delhi-Vadodara Expressway, which is the first section of the Delhi – Mumbai Expressway, is a greenfield expressway spanning 1350 KM, connecting India's national capital, New Delhi, with its financial capital, Mumbai. This fully access-controlled expressway consists of 8 lanes (expandable to 12) and carries a total project value, including land acquisition costs, of approximately INR 1,00,000 crores.

The Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, including the Vadodara section, serves as a vital backbone of the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC). It facilitates the movement of goods and enhances connectivity for industrial and economic development in the region.

NumberTree was engaged for techno- commercial audit of 10 different packages, (Vadodara section) having project value of approx. INR 10,000 Crores

Our approach to assignment was -

a) Enhancing Process Integrity and Performance: A Risk-Based Audit Approach - The primary focus of this audit was to assess process integrity, ensure compliance, and contribute to the continuous improvement of process performance. We adopted a risk-based approach, leveraging a well-defined conceptual framework for process monitoring. Our goal was to establish an effective control environment, taking into account the criticality of various risk scenarios.

b) Driving Efficiency and Cost Savings through Material Consumption Optimization - One of the key areas we dedicated our attention to was controlling material consumption. Through meticulous drawing-based material reconciliations, we successfully identified the root causes of wastages.

As a result, we suggested robust controls to minimize wastage and gain better insights into consumption patterns. This paved the way for optimized resource utilization and cost savings.
